Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
As we monitor the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) daily and follow the recommendations of county and state health organizations, the safety of our patrons, participants, and staff is our top priority. Due to increased uncertainty, it is in the best interest of the community to suspend large gatherings and programs at Wilmette Park District facilities to actively participate with other local agencies in trying to curb community spread.
As of March 13, 2020, all Wilmette Park District programs have been canceled, and all facilities have been closed until further notice. Closures include the following:
- Community Recreation Center
Including Early Childhood Center of Wilmette
Including Center Fitness Club
Including Wilmette Gymnastics
- Centennial Recreation Complex
Including Wilmette Tennis Club
Including Centennial Ice Rinks
- Mallinckrodt Center
- Lakeview Center
- Wilmette Platform Tennis Club
- Wilmette Golf Club
We will continuously evaluate the situation and inform the community of any decisions made. Park District staff will apply a prorated refund to your Household Account once we resume to our normal hours of business.
Please note the following exceptions to facility closures:
- Early voting at Centennial is still open. Hours are: Mar. 13, 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Mar. 14, 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Mar. 15, 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Mar. 16, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Mallinckrodt will be open for day of polling on March 17, 2020.

We recognize the seriousness of the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in our community. We urge all residents to follow the Center for Disease Control’s tips by staying home if sick; avoiding close contact with people who are sick; covering coughs and sneezes; avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth; and washing hands with soap and water.
