I. Meeting Called to Order
Meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.
II. Committee Members Approved to Attend By Means Other Than Physical Presence
Commissioner Pellaton was approved to attend at 6:35 p.m.
III. Approval of Minutes
A. Commissioner Abbott moved and Commissioner Pellaton seconded a motion to approve the August 22, 2016 meeting minutes. All voted yes; motion carried.

A. Professional Services Review – Health Insurance Time Line
Superintendent Eppelheimer reviewed the updated time line for health insurance renewal including the processes that were completed since the last meeting. The Committee reviewed a comparison of $250 deductible plans from PDRMA Health and Vista National. The preliminary savings were substantial but final rates are being obtained after underwriting. It was anticipated that these rates would be available by the end of the week. Staff will perform analysis and determine if a meeting will be called for Monday, October 3rd, followed by a Special Board Meeting if a resolution for withdrawal from PDRMA Health is warranted. There was no action needed or taken by the Committee.
VII. New Business
A. Property Tax Appeal – Update
Superintendent Eppelheimer presented a recommendation for settlement of a Circuit Court Specific Objection. The consortium intervened several years ago and the case was grouped as part of a larger litigation which resulting in with little happening for years. Recently the Taxpayer contacted the consortium counsel regarding settlement. The negotiated settlement results in the District’s share being $6,039. The settlement saved the consortium over $100,000 from the initial evidence filed by the taxpayer. No action was required by the Committee.

A special meeting is scheduled for October 3, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. with a regular meeting scheduled for October 24, 2016.
