There are no residency or try-out requirements for membership in the WGA’s five golf leagues. 

There are three 18-hole leagues:

• Monday (Wil-Tags)
• Tuesday (SWG)
• Thursday (WWGA)

And two 9-hole leagues: 

•  Monday (W-K 9)
• Tuesday (Tags 9).

 

In order to become a member of WGA and an individual league(s), you must do the following:

 

1.                  Submit payment to the WGA with the attached 2013 WGA membership application. This application is also available below for download and at the Wilmette Golf Club Pro Shop. Every league member must be a WGA member in order to have a handicap. Please check the appropriate information on the card and return it with a check payable to WGA at 3900 Fairway Drive, Wilmette, or drop it in the WGA mailbox at the Pro Shop. 

 

Pay your dues for membership in the WGA, membership in the Chicago District Golf Association and handicap computation, WGA directory, Rules of Golf (local rules) book, state and local association memberships, league low net pins and various awards and tournaments.

 

2.                  It is a requirement of WGA that each member purchase a Wilmette Park District seasonal golf membership. Click here for the 2013-2014 Wilmette Golf Club membership application form. Select one of the memberships and submit the form, along with payment, to the Pro Shop or Park District Administration Office in Wilmette's Village Hall.

 

3.                  Pay the individual dues for each league that you are joining. Each League has a membership chair whose name, phone number and email may be found on the WGA section of the Wilmette Golf Club website (golfwilmette.com). Pro Shop staff will also assist you with a contact name.  Individual league dues vary in cost and should be mailed to the individual league officers.

 

To summarize:  You must tender payment to at least three different organizations:  WGA, Wilmette Park District, and at least one league. If you join more than one league, you will pay the additional league(s) as well.
