Picnic at the Lake
Monday, Aug. 25, Noon-2 p.m.

This year's summer picnic theme is Caribbean – as in “yea man, no worries, be happy” - so put on your island wear and join us in Gillson Park for a picnic that will be a highlight of your summer. Transportation is on your own, although those needing rides may come to the Center for carpooling. Picnic fare will include fruity drinks, sandwiches, salads, chips and ice cream for dessert. The music will be reggae with a steel drum sound.  he Jamaican One Man Band is back for an encore performance and will surely have you up dancing! Lakefront parking is free to our guests on this day.  Meet on the Lakeview Center patio, by the Wallace Bowl. The event will be moved inside if necessary. Kindly sponsored by Manor Care of Wilmette. The fee for this event is: M-$7/NM-$10. For information please call 847-256-9623.

Importance of Early Registration

It is important to register early for the trips and programs offered by The Mallinckrodt Community Center because theaters, restaurants and instructors require several weeks notice for confirmation. In order to meet these deadlines, decisions must be made well in advance whether or not to cancel programs. We do not want to disappoint anyone, so please register early.

Registration, Cancellation and Refund Policy

Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-serve basis payable at the time of registration. If you must cancel out of a day trip, refunds will be issued only if we are able to fill the opening from a wait list. There is a 10% service charge, or a minimum of $5 on all trip cancellations. A full refund is provided when we cancel a program or activity due to low registration.

Trip Departures

All trips leave from The Mallinckrodt Community Center, 1041A Ridge Road, unless otherwise instructed.
