Screen Break Week

Save the dates: March 2-7

Pull the plug on all your electronic devices and rediscover how entertaining life can be without a remote control in your hand! We’ve got six days of family activities planned for all ages. The fun includes crafts, open gym, a celebration of Dr. Seuss's birthday, oooey gooey science, a magic show, cupcake decorating, a teen workout and free skate at Centennial Ice Rinks. All activities are FREE, but some require registration.


Activities take place at the Community Recreation Center unless otherwise noted.


Monday, March 2

Celebrate Dr. Suess's Birthday:Storytime  
4-5 p.m.
All ages

Hot Shots Sports in the Gym
Ages 5-6 from 5-6 p.m.
Ages 7-10 from 6-7 p.m.


Tuesday, March 3

Cupcake Decorating
6-7 p.m.
Ages 4-12
Create a “mess-terpiece” cupcake using sprinkles, frosting and candies. All supplies included—dress appropriately! Please register for this free class. ID# 325126-01


Wednesday, March 4

Craft Project
4-5 p.m.
All ages
Everyone can be creative at this open house craft night.  Paper, poster board and wood cutouts will be available to decorate with paint, glitter, decoupage and more.

Oooey Gooey Science
6-7 p.m. 
Ages 4-12

Open Skate at Centennial Ice Rinks

The ice rinks are located at 2300 Old Glenview Road, Wilmette. There is no admission charge. Skate rental fee is $4.25.


Saturday, March 7

Total T Workout
10-11 a.m.
Ages 12-17 
Give our Total T class a try! The workout is performed in a circuit format and designed for all fitness levels. This is a great chance to get out from behind the TV and video games and channel your energy for your health!
