Vattmann Park Renovation Complete
Vattmann Park’s play area recently received a facelift, based on input the Park District received from park users. The newly installed equipment is split between age groups and offers new challenges geared to children in the 5 to 12 year old age range. Equipment for the 2 to 5 year olds is smaller in scale and also includes a small playhouse. Click here to view and download information on the new playground equipment.
As with the old play area, swings are part of the new equipment. The surface is poured in place rubber but, at the request of the focus group, there is still a small sand play area. Extensive drainage work was done to replace the old system and a patio with a picnic table. New park benches, concrete repairs and trash/recycling containers were part of the finish touches.
