2023-24 CARE After School

Highlights about CARE:
  • Quality childcare and free time activities
  • Register separately for afternoon Community Recreation Center (CRC) classes
  • 2, 3, & 5-day options

Be near the action and come to CARE! We will bus your child from his/her school to the CRC for our CARE program. CARE ends at 4:45 p.m., and participants can choose to extend their day by:

  • Registering separately for seasonal afternoon classes located at the CRC: CARE staff will escort participants to and from scheduled programs; or
  • Extend the day with CARE until 6 p.m. Extended-day participants have additional time to work on homework independently and engage in structured, play-based free time activities.

NOTE: two-day and three-day participants have until August 1, 2023 to select which days of the week they wish to attend. Registration is for the full school year. CARE follows the Wilmette D39 school calendar. One-way transportation fee for Central, Harper, and McKenzie, $249 for 3-day and $415 for 5-day for the year. Romona one-way transportation is purchased through School District 39.

2023-24 Morning CARE

We offer Morning CARE at District 39 schools! This program provides a safe, supportive, fun, interactive experience at your child's home school before attending class. Choose a 2, 3 or 5-day option.

NOTE: Some Morning CARE locations host participants from the multiple schools:

  • Central and McKenzie participants attend Morning CARE at McKenzie
  • Harper participants attend Morning CARE at Harper
  • Highcrest and Romona participants attend Morning CARE at Romona

2023-24 Campus Club

Choose your own adventure! Every day, Campus Club participants choose from a lineup of unique exploratory classes designed to build life skills and encourage social and emotional development. Time is also allotted each day for independent homework and structure, play based free time activities. This program follows the Wilmette D39 Public Schools calendar.

*New in 2023-2024: Lakeview Center Campus Club location for Central School students! Lakeview Center will offer the same exciting exploratory classes, as well as a focus on outdoor adventure. Only offered to Central students at this time.
